What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants replace the entire structure of the tooth, so they look and function just like natural teeth. Single tooth implants consist of three different components: a fixture, an abutment, and a crown.

What Are the Different Types of Dental Implants?

This dental implant treatment is an alternative restorative solution to removable dentures. Four implants are placed into the jawbone to support a full arch of teeth (an implant bridge). When necessary, for instance, if you have a very strong bite, your dentist will recommend up to six implants to support your replacement teeth. These are known as All-on-6 dental implants.
