A beautiful smile is a smile of confidence. Small gaps between the teeth, cracks, discolorations and chips can cause feelings of self-consciousness and low self-esteem. Dental veneers are a cosmetic treatment able to address multiple issues at once.

Discovering if dental veneers are a good option for you begins with an examination and conversations. Whether it is addressing chips, colour, symmetry, gaps, the shape or size of your teeth, we want to hear about your objectives and are focused on delivering a stunning smile that everyone admires!

Resin Veneers
in Belmont

Resin veneers, sometimes known as cosmetic bonding, is an easy and quick treatment which may be completed in a single visit. If you have minor tooth imperfections such as small chips, cracks, gaps or discolourations, then resin veneers may be an option for you.

Tooth coloured composite resin is expertly applied in small increments directly to the surface of the prepared tooth, shaped and then set by a special light. Once the resin has been hardened, it is polished to a smooth lustre for a naturally brighter smile.

PORCELAIN VENEERS
IN BELMONT

At Ageless Smiles Dental Centre, Porcelain veneers are custom designed and created in very thin overlays that are feather light but extremely strong.

These veneers are as thin as a contact lens but when bonded to the surface of the teeth, are durable and long lasting when cared for properly.

Because your porcelain veneers are custom made, they will be created with the perfect level of translucency, detail and colour to ensure you receive a naturally gorgeous smile.

Dental Veneer Process in Belmont

At the first visit, the teeth are prepared by removing a very thin layer of the enamel from the teeth. A high-definition digital impression is taken to enable our dental technician to fabricate your new high-quality veneers. Temporary veneers are bonded to the teeth and left in place until the next visit.

After two weeks, the veneers are returned and ready to be permanently bonded in to place. The temporary veneers are removed and the surfaces of the teeth are cleaned before the new porcelain veneers are secured and your gorgeous transformation is revealed!

Frequently asked questions

Who can have dental veneers?

Dental veneers are suitable for teeth with discolourations, small chips or cracks, slightly misaligned teeth, irregularly shaped teeth or teeth with gaps.

What’s the difference between composite resin veneers and porcelain veneers?

In the hands of a skilled dentist, both resin veneers and porcelain veneers can enormously transform your smile. Resin veneers are sculpted directly on to the teeth and are an economical and quick cosmetic treatment which results in a beautiful finish. Porcelain veneers are crafted from thin ceramic porcelain which more closely replicates the natural appearance of tooth enamel.  Custom made to fit seamlessly, they are durable and long lasting.

How long do dental veneers last?

Most dental veneers will last between 15 – 20 years. Although extremely durable, like natural teeth proper care should be taken and good oral hygiene maintained.

How do I look after my veneers?

Taking care of your veneers is almost the same as caring for your natural teeth, simply brushing twice a day and flossing as normal. Eating firm fruits and other natural food is fine but toffees and other hard food can damage veneers so it is recommended you avoid these food types. If there is evidence of clenching or nighttime grinding, a nighttime splint (guard) is advisable to protect both veneers and the teeth.
