Dental Crowns Belmont

A dental crown is a full coverage restoration used to protect the remaining tooth structure, which has become too damaged to be treated with a traditional filling.

At Ageless Smiles Dental Centre, all our dental crowns are custom-crafted using the highest quality materials to ensure you receive a beautiful and long-lasting crown.

  • To restore a broken or decayed tooth
  • For the protection of a root canal-treated tooth
  • To improve tooth appearance

Dental Crown Process in Belmont

A dental crown requires two visits for the treatment to be provided. It begins with removing any decayed or damaged tooth structure and preparing the remaining healthy natural tooth structure.

With our state-of-the-art, 3-D digital scanner, we have left the old sticky dental impression materials behind. Instead, we take a high-definition scan of the teeth to enable our highly skilled lab technicians to custom-create the required crown. Dental crowns are frequently fabricated in porcelain and colour matched with the shade of your natural tooth. Sometimes, a gold crown may be desired or recommended in teeth positioned towards the back of the mouth.

A temporary crown is created and placed on the tooth for protection while the crown is being custom-created.

After two weeks, the temporary crown is removed during the second appointment, and your newly fabricated crown is permanently cemented into place.

Dental Bridges

As the name suggests, this treatment “bridges” a gap in the mouth left vacant due to tooth loss as it is permanently fixed into place. A dental bridge is an alternative to implants or partial dentures.

Benefits of a Dental Bridge

  • Replaces missing teeth without the need for surgical procedures
  • Assists with speech and improves function
  • Prevents bone loss, sometimes known as resorption
  • Prevents drifting and misalignment of teeth
  • Better for oral health and easy to care for
  • Long-term dental solution
  • Feels comfortable and doesn’t move around like a partial denture
  • Improves confidence

Dental Bridge Process

A dental bridge requires two visits for the treatment to be provided. It begins with preparing the teeth on both sides of the gap, anchoring the bridge. With our state-of-the-art, 3-D digital scanner, a high-definition scan is taken to enable our highly skilled lab technicians to custom-create the required dental bridge. Dental bridges are frequently fabricated in porcelain and colour matched with the shade of your natural teeth. A temporary bridge is created and placed on the prepared teeth for protection while the dental bridge is custom-created.

After two weeks, the temporary bridge is removed during the second appointment, and your newly fabricated bridge is permanently bonded into place.
